Stevens Seeds - Ashburton.

If you are looking for experience in the seed industry then Peter Stevens is your man. Peter has been in the seed business for 45 years which fits in nicely with his mixed crop farm he also runs at Dromore. Peter started his career as a young man with The Canterbury Seed Company as a stamp licker before progressing to broaden his knowledge and on road sales with companies such as Baker Transport, R G Woodham Grain & Seeds and Elders Pastoral. Peter went into business for himself 22 years ago and never looked back.

The key to the success of Stevens Seeds Ltd has been their choice of proprietary lines using the name ‘More’ when naming new varieties, for example; Grazmore, Gromore, Redmore, Whitemore, and Leafmore are just some of the trade names that describe the benefits of the seed and Peter’s vast knowledge of the industry. You can read more about Stevens Seeds proprietary lines, their benefits and client testimonials on the company’s website.

The company has a mixing plant for specialized pasture and stock feed mixes and clients can also bring in their own seed to be mixed at the correct ratio.

So call in for a coffee and a chat to discuss your pasture and stock feed needs and while you are there you can admire the 1952 three ton Bedford truck Peter's father bought brand new from Smallbones when Peter was only 3 ˝ years old. The truck has since been completely restored by Peter apart from a bullet hole left in the passenger door where one of the Stevens boys missed his target.
